Gender equality and social
inclusion are central cross-cutting priorities in IAIDI’s programming,
ensuring that all interventions actively address disparities and promote
equitable opportunities for women, youth, and marginalized groups. In
sustainable agriculture, IAIDI integrates gender-responsive approaches by
improving women’s access to land, inputs, extension services, and climate-smart
technologies, while addressing structural barriers that limit their
participation and productivity.
Within nutrition, gender and
inclusion are critical to improving household food security and dietary
outcomes. IAIDI promotes equitable decision-making over food production, income
use, and consumption, ensuring that the nutritional needs of women, children,
and vulnerable individuals are prioritized. Interventions are designed to be
culturally sensitive and inclusive of persons with disabilities and other
at-risk groups.
Across value chains and inclusive
markets, IAIDI advances gender equity by supporting women- and youth-led
enterprises, improving access to finance, and strengthening their participation
in profitable market segments. Efforts are made to eliminate discriminatory
practices, promote equal pay, and create safe and enabling business
environments for all actors.
Livelihood and resilience

tailored support that enhances their adaptive capacity to shocks and stresses.
