What We Do
We support Value Chain and Inclusive Markets
Value Chain and Inclusive Markets are critical components of
agricultural development, enabling smallholder farmers to access markets,
improve their income, and contribute to economic growth. IAIDI's
approach to Value Chain and Inclusive Markets focuses on strengthening the
entire value chain, from production to market access, to ensure that
smallholder farmers, women, and youth can participate equitably.
Some of the key Components of IAIDI’s Value Chain
Development and Inclusive Markets include:
Market
Analysis: Understanding market trends, demands, and opportunities to
inform production and marketing decisions.
Value
Chain Mapping: Identifying key actors, activities, and relationships
within the value chain to pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
Capacity
Building: Building the capacity of smallholder farmers, processors,
and other value chain actors to improve their skills and knowledge in
areas such as quality control, packaging, and marketing.
Access
to Finance: Providing access to finance and financial services to
support smallholder farmers and other value chain actors in investing in
their businesses.
Market
Linkages: Facilitating market linkages between smallholder farmers,
processors, and buyers to improve market access and prices.
Inclusive Markets
Inclusive
Market Systems: Creating market systems that are inclusive of
smallholder farmers, women, and youth, and that provide opportunities for
them to participate equitably.
Fair
Prices: Ensuring that smallholder farmers receive fair prices for
their products, and that prices are transparent and predictable.
Market
Information: Providing market information to small-holder farmers,
enabling them to make informed decisions about production and marketing.
Empowering
Women and Youth: Empowering women and youth to participate in value
chains and access markets, through targeted capacity building and support
services.
